Work and Holiday Visa Application - Paper

Application form

You must complete an application form.
See:
Form 1208 Application for a Work and Holiday Visa (192KB PDF file)

Important: In addition to providing us with a completed Form 1208 you must also provide a certified copy of the pages of your passport containing your photo and personal details. Your application cannot be processed if you provide uncertified copies to us. If providing certified copies of this documentation is difficult you can lodge an online Work and Holiday visa application.

Application checklist

The application checklist details the information and supporting documents that you must provide with your application. Complete applications are likely to be processed more quickly. Incomplete applications may be delayed or, in some cases, refused.
See: Application Document Checklist ( 50KB PDF file)

Where to lodge your Work and Holiday visa application

USA applicants can lodge a paper application for a Work and Holiday visa by post at any departmental office outside Australia.
See: Immigration Offices Outside Australia

If you are lodging a paper-based visa application in certain countries you will need to provide biometrics.
See: Countries and Visa Subclasses Included in the Biometrics Program

After you lodge your application

After the department has reviewed your visa application, you will be contacted about the status of your application. You should not travel to Australia without receiving advice that your visa has been granted.
