The application checklist on Form 1150 details the information and supporting documents you must provide with your paper application. Complete applications are likely to be processed more quickly. Incomplete applications may be delayed or, in some cases, refused.

Where to lodge your first Working Holiday visa application

Most applicants can lodge a paper application by mail for their first Working Holiday visa at any departmental office outside Australia.

However, first Working Holiday visa paper applications made by passport holders from Republic of Cyprus, HKSAR (including British National Overseas), Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malta, and Taiwan, must be lodged by mailing, faxing, or hand-delivering the application form to the overseas Australian government office in the country or region that issued the applicant’s passport.

Where to lodge your second Working Holiday visa application

You can lodge a paper application by mail for your second Working Holiday visa from in or outside Australia.

Applications must be sent to:

You cannot lodge your application at any other departmental office in or outside Australia.

If you are in Australia, you should lodge your application before your current visa ceases.
