Application charge
There is a non-refundable visa application charge when lodging your visa application.

To make a payment, please pay
- by credit card or debit card (in person only)
- by bank cheque or money order made payable to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Please do not pay by cash, travellers' cheques or personal cheque.
Not all departmental offices overseas accept payment by credit card. Please contact your nearest departmental overseas office to find out what methods of payment can be accepted at that office.

Other costs
You will be required to pay for any medical, health examinations or any other health requirements associated with this visa.
You may be required to pay a charge for obtaining police checks. This charge varies from country to country. When you are required to obtain your own police checks, you are personally responsible for all arrangements.
You should also be prepared to pay other costs associated with your application, such as the cost of translations of some documents.
