London, Manchester and Dublin an overseas success
The expos held in London, Manchester and Dublin showcased 29 Australian employers, all of the state and territory governments (across 13 different booths), the Migration Institute of Australia, Trades Recognition Australia, the Australian Taxation Office, the Murray Regional Development Board and the department, to skilled workers who were genuinely interested in living and working in Australia.
There were a total of 7,475 skilled workers who were invited across the three expos with the skills, experience and qualifications that exhibitors were looking for, with just over 5,111 people attending. This skill matching process provided a cost effective, tailored and practical method of meeting high calibre skilled staff from overseas.

- 'None of us in our wildest dreams expected to get access to such good quality, well pre-qualified people, who were generally highly motivated to move [to Australia]. I would strongly urge other employers to go and be involved in future expos.'
