Australia Needs Skills Expos Overseas
What happens at an expo?
Skilled workers attending an expo can:
- meet Australian employers who have skill shortages
- talk to state and territory governments who want to recruit skilled workers
- find out more about migrating independently to Australia
- listen to presentations on topics, such as Employer Sponsored Schemes, General Skilled Migration and Skills Recognition as well as individual state seminars.
Who should attend an expo?
Skilled workers who:
- are under 45 years of age
- have good English language skills
- are interested in living and working in Australia
- will be visiting or living close to the location of the expo and who will not require a visa to be issued for the sole purpose of attending the expo
- have qualifications and/or work experience for an occupation
on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) or other specalist
occupations on the Skilled Occupation List (ENSOL) required by participating
exhibitors.
