Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457)
Preparing your Nomination Application
Application charge
There is a non-refundable charge for applications.
See: Fees & Charges
From 14 September 2009, Subclass 457 nominations that were approved before 14 September 2009 that did not specify a nominated position will not be valid. These nominations cannot be linked to a Subclass 457 visa application.
You may seek a refund of the nomination fee for these nominations by submitting a request in writing to the department within the validity period of the nomination.
Note: Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will not be able to receive a refund of the application charge. However, if you lodge the sponsorship, nomination, and visa applications at the same time and the sponsorship application is refused, the department will refund the charge for the nomination and visa application because, without an approved business sponsor, the application will be invalid.
Application checklist
The checklist details the information and supporting documents that you must provide with your application. Complete applications are likely to be processed more quickly. Incomplete applications may be delayed or, in some cases, refused.
