Visa Application Checklist

The employee will need to provide the following information.

Complete the application form.

Either:

Documents and information the employee needs to provide.

Certified copy of passport.
Certified copies of family members' passports.
Certified copy of marriage certificate or other evidence of defacto relationship.
Certified copies of birth certificates (for dependent children only).

Details of the employee's relevant qualifications, skills and experience.

Certified copies of educational qualifications.
Certified copies of employment references.
Curriculum Vitae.
Evidence from a relevant Australian registration or licensing authority that the applicant holds or will be able to meet necessary registration or licensing requirements (if applicable).

Provide the identifying number for the nomination (if known).

Provide one of the following (if known):

  • Nomination permission request identifier
  • Nomination approval number.
Confirmation of employment. Employment Contract or Offer of Employment setting out the salary arrangements.
Note: This must include terms and conditions of employment and period of employment.
Health and Character requirements. See:

Labour Agreement only.

Labour Agreement name.
Labour Agreement number.

Service Sellers only.

Evidence that the service seller is a representative of an overseas service supplier.

  • a supporting letter from the overseas employer confirming that the service seller is acting on their behalf.

Evidence that the employer is actively engaged in business.

  • business registration
  • statements of annual financial reports audited by a recognised accountant and/or tax returns
  • a statement describing the business activities of the employer and their plans to expand their trade in Australia
  • a statement or proposal with details of how the service seller proposes to represent the employer in Australia.

Details of how the service seller intends to support themself and any family members for the duration of their stay in Australia.

A case officer will contact the employee or their authorised person if additional information is required.
