Overview
The Seasonal Worker Program is open from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2016. It replaces the Pacific Seasonal Worker Pilot Scheme which ceased on 30 June 2012. The Seasonal Worker Program is part of the department's Special Program visa category which allows employers who are approved as Special Program Sponsors to sponsor people from the eligible countries to participate as seasonal workers.
Eligible countries have Memoranda of Understanding agreements in place with the Australian government for the Seasonal Worker Program.
