Eligible relative sponsorship

You need to have an eligible relative living in a designated area of Australia who is willing and able to sponsor you.

Your sponsor will need to complete Form 1277 Application for sponsorship under general skilled migration and sign a sponsorship undertaking.

In addition to being sponsored by an eligible relative you must be assessed against a number of other visa requirements. You will only be granted a visa if all requirements are met.
