You must have a nomination from a participating State or Territory government if you do not have an eligible relative sponsor.

Evidence to attach to your application

If you contacted the nominating State or Territory government directly, and your details are not on the Skill Matching Database, you should include their nomination letter with your application. The nominating State or Territory will also complete a State/Territory government nomination form and send it to the department.

If a State or Territory government chooses to nominate you from the Skill Matching Database, they will send the completed State/Territory government nomination form to the department and recommend that the department continue the processing of your visa application.

If you do not have a State/Territory government nomination

If you do not have a State/Territory government nomination, you will need to be sponsored by an eligible relative.
