Business Owner-Managers and Senior Executive subclasses
Business Owner-Managers and Senior Executive subclasses are required to:
- obtain or maintain a substantial ownership interest in an eligible business in Australia and participate at a senior level in the day-to-day management of this business
- notify the department of a contact address within 28 days after arrival in Australia, using Form 922. Those already in Australia must notify the department of their contact address within 28 days after the Business Skills visa is granted
- notify the department of any change of contact address within 28 days after the address change, using Form 922
- provide full and accurate responses to 24 month surveys, using Form 1010, or provide other information as requested by the department.

Investment-linked subclasses
Investment-linked subclasses are required to:
- notify the department of a contact address within 28 days after arrival in Australia, those already in Australia must notify the department of their contact address within 28 days after the Business Skills visa is granted (using Form 922)
- notify the department of any change of contact address within 28 days after the address change (using Form 922)
- make a designated investment, and hold it for a period of three years. The invested funds cannot be withdrawn before the 3 year term has expired
- complete a 36 month survey, to assist the department in determining the overall performance of the Business Skills program.

Failure to provide information
As a Business Skills visa holder, you are required to provide certain requested information to the department. The information that may be required is outlined above.
Failure to provide information requested by the department in the required time, may result in a fine of up to AUD$1,000 or a penalty of AUD$5,000 if convicted in court.
