Applying for this Visa

There are two steps involved in applying for a Superyacht Crew visa.

Step 1 - Individual applies to be a sponsor

The Captain or owner of the Superyacht must complete an application to become an approved Superyacht Crew sponsor.

Step 2 - Applicant applies for the visa

You must lodge a visa application for this visa.

Renewing a visa

Superyacht Crew visa holders can apply for a further Superyacht Crew visa while in Australia only if their current Superyacht Crew visa is still valid or if they hold another substantive visa. There are no restrictions on the number of times an applicant can apply for a further Superyacht Crew visa. To renew a visa follow the applicable steps above.

A sponsor may be approved for up to three years. To continue to employ people from overseas the sponsor will need to reapply before their sponsor approval ceases. To renew a sponsorship follow the applicable steps above.
