Your visa application cannot be lodged before the sponsorship is lodged or approved, and your visa cannot be approved until the sponsorship is approved.
Paper application requirements
Paper applications must be made on form 1365 and lodged at the Brisbane Global Processing Centre in Australia by post or courier.

Your sponsor must complete the sponsorship form.

Note: Australian Visa Offices outside Australia cannot accept Superyacht Crew visa applications.
You can appoint another person as your authorised recipient to receive written communications about your application on your behalf. This can be done by completing Form 956A Appointment or withdrawal of an authorised recipient.
If you are being assisted in your application by a migration agent or an exempt person, the migration agent or the exempt person should complete Form 956 Advice by a migration agent/exempt person of providing immigration assistance. Where the migration agent or the exempt person is also acting as your authorised recipient, they should ensure they complete questions 18 and 19 of Form 956. There is no need for you to separately complete Form 956A as well.
