Paper application requirements
Paper applications must be made on form 1273 and lodged at the Brisbane Global Processing Centre in Australia by post or courier.

An applicant can appoint another person as their authorised recipient to receive written communications about their application on their behalf. This can be done by completing Form 956A Appointment or withdrawal of an authorised recipient.
If the applicant is being assisted in their application by a migration agent or an exempt person, the migration agent or the exempt person should complete Form 956 Advice by a migration agent/exempt person of providing immigration assistance. Where the migration agent or the exempt person is also acting as the applicant's authorised recipient, they should ensure they complete questions 18 and 19 of Form 956. There is no need for the applicant to separately complete Form 956A as well.
