Foreign Passengers

Foreign passengers entering Australia by sea, regardless of whether they are transiting or disembarking, are required to satisfy a clearance officer that they have:

  • a valid passport (to be presented)
  • a valid visa or travel authority for entry to Australia (that may appear as a label in a passport or it may be electronically recorded against a passport)

a completed Incoming Passenger Card.
