Application charge
You must pay a visa application charge when you lodge your visa application. This application charge covers you and all family members included in your application and will usually not be refunded if your application is unsuccessful, or if you decide to withdraw your application after you have lodged it. A second visa application charge for each person included in the application is also required before the visa is granted.
Note: The second visa application charge that you will pay is based on the date that you lodge your Contributory Parent (Migrant) visa (subclass 143) application.
See: Fees & Charges
Other costs
You may be required to pay a charge for obtaining police checks. This charge varies from country to country. When you are required to obtain your own police checks, you are personally responsible for all arrangements. There may be other costs associated with the application, such as translating documents into English.
Application checklist
The application checklist details the information and supporting documents that you must provide with your application. Complete applications are likely to be processed more quickly. Incomplete applications may be delayed or, in some cases, refused.
