This visa is a permanent visa that allows a child to remain in Australia with their parent. The parent must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

The parent must act as sponsor for the child and can lodge the visa application on behalf of the child.

Who is this visa for?

This visa is for a child under 25 years of age who wants to remain in Australia with their parent.

How much will this visa cost?

There is an application charge for this visa. This will usually not be refunded if the application is unsuccessful, or if the applicant decides to withdraw the application after lodging it. The application charge covers the applicant and any of their dependent family members included in the application.

What does the visa let the visa holder do?

This visa allows the visa holder to:

  • live permanently in Australia
  • travel to and from Australia for five (5) years from the date the visa is granted.
