After You Lodge Your Application


Additional information can be provided to the department, in writing, at any time until a decision is made on the application.

If an applicant (usually through their sponsor) is requested by the department to provide more information, they will be given a date by which the information is required. After this date, the department will continue processing the application using all relevant information they have.

Interviews

If an applicant is invited to attend an interview, they must attend on the date and time agreed with the department.

Invitation to comment

If another person gives the department information that could result in the applicant being refused a visa, the department will generally give the applicant the opportunity to comment on the information, by a set date.
