Medical Assessment

Medibank Health Solutions (formerly known as Health Services Australia or HSA) will need to assess the medical condition.

The medical assessment will determine:

• the level of impairment
• the type and extent of care required
• whether the patient's medical condition meets the criteria set out by the carer visa.

The carer visa application charge will not be refunded if the medical criteria set out by the carer visa are not met. It is advisable to have a medical assessment completed before lodging a visa application.
