Between wave one and wave two of LSIA 3 the unemployment  rate of Skill stream PAs fell  from nine per cent to three per cent. Unemployment rates for Family stream PAs fell from 20 per cent to six per cent.

Most PAs liked their current job. Satisfication was greatest for Business Skills/ENS/RSMS PAs with 85 per cent liking their job, and least for Former Overseas Student PAs and Concessional Family/SAL PAs (63 per cent). Only around two per cent of those surveyed actually disliked their job.

The majority of migrants also said that they were in their preferred occupation. They were more likely to be in their preferred occupation if they were Business Skills/ENS/RSMS PAs (94 per cent in preferred occupation) or Offshore Independents (84 per cent).
