This report provides a detailed statistical analysis of the internal migration patterns of Australian-born and overseas born Australians with particular focus on recent migrants during the 2001-06 period. It assesses the impacts of mobility patterns of recent migrants (permanent and non-permanent) on Australian demography, labour, housing and infrastructure.
