The 'Muslim Australians and Local Government: Grassroots Strategies to Improve Relations Between Muslims and non-Muslim Australians' report is the final outcome of a project funded by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
The project, undertaken by Dr Amanda Wise at Macquarie University, aimed to identify what works for community-based activities, including the potential role of local councils, and the relationship of Muslim Australians to their local councils.
