Global Cultural Diversity Conference Proceedings, Sydney

Preface

The associated documents contain the addresses delivered at the 1995 Global Cultural Diversity Conference, held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, from 26 to 28 April 1995.

The conference was hosted by the Australian Government in conjunction with the New South Wales Government (through the Ethnic Affairs Commission of New South Wales) and the Australian Multicultural Foundation.

Speakers were requested to prepare and deliver the papers. Biographical profiles of all speakers and chairs are also included as appendix 1.

Most of the papers published in these conference proceedings were provided in advance to the Conference Secretariat.

Some speakers were unable to provide copies of their papers and, where possible, these have been reproduced from transcripts of audio tapes edited with the assistance of each speaker.
