Skilled Visas

The department is undertaking a review of the permanent Employer Sponsored visa categories. The permanent employer sponsored visas review aims to ensure that these visa categories continue to be relevant and responsive to the needs of the Australian labour market, and the Australian economy more generally.

As part of the review the department has released a discussion paper to facilitate the public consultation process. Public consultation will commence on Friday 19 August 2011 and close on Friday 16 September 2011.
