Bureaucrats barbecued breakfast for breast cancer benefit

More than $3000 was raised for breast cancer research by staff at the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs at a Pink Ribbon Breakfast held today.

Staff were able to purchase a barbecued breakfast cooked by DIMA executive with all money raised going towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Over 500 staff from national office participated in the fundraising event.

‘The Pink Ribbon Breakfast gave our staff the opportunity to get involved
and support a worthy cause,’ DIMA secretary Andrew Metcalfe said.

‘I am proud that our staff participated in our fundraising breakfast and gave generously towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation,’ Mr Metcalfe said.

The breakfast was held as part of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
