Plans in Place for Middle East Visa Processing

p>The Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) is establishing arrangements for the continuity of visa processing in the Middle East during the current crisis.These arrangements will be linked to consular advice provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Staff at all DIMIA offices in Australia and overseas will be briefed on any new processing arrangements that need to be established, the Department said today.
As specific arrangements are put in place, information will be provided to the community through the distribution of media releases to media organisations throughout Australia.
Detailed information will also be placed on the Department's Internet site.
