Department Takes Services to Albury-Wodonga

Media Release - DPS 69/2002

The ACT Regional Office (ACTRO) of the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) will be conducting an outreach information session in Albury on 26 September.

Departmental representatives will present a general information session on immigration, citizenship and settlement services. Following the session, DIMIA staff will be available for individual appointments with clients who wish to discuss immigration matters.

The information session is particularly designed for service providers, clients and interested parties seeking information regarding DIMIA services. The individual client appointments will enable people in the community to seek immigration information of a more personal nature. Only a limited number of appointments are available, so bookings are essential. Bookings can be made by calling the Albury-Wodonga Multicultural Resource Centre on 6041 1427.

The session is part of ACTRO's regional outreach program, which involves periodic visits by staff to regional centres to provide general and topical information on the Department's services.

The outreach information session will be held on Thursday 26 September at 9.30 am, followed by client appointments from 12 noon to 3 pm at Room 11 - Cardwell Building, Continuing Education Centre, 63 High Street, Wodonga.
