Update on Woomera Incident

The Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs today updated information relating to yesterday's media release on an incident at the Woomera Immigration Reception and Processing Centre.
A small number of children were present in the compound where a search took place. This updates earlier information, which indicated that no minors were present.
One minor was present during a search conducted in an accommodation unit where he did not reside, attempting to obstruct the search.
He was escorted from the unit and was not injured or mistreated in any way.
