Final Days to Register for the Major Immigration and Population
Issues Conference

Only a few days remain to register for a major conference on immigration and population in Sydney on May 7-8 hosted by the Minister for Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs Philip Ruddock.
Open to the public, the conference at the Australian Technology Park will deliver new research and informed discussion on a range of topics including:
- Economics of Immigration
- Population Issues
- Social Participation of Migrants
- International Asylum and Humanitarian Migration
To address these issues, Mr Ruddock will be joined by Prof John Salt of London University, Dr Alexander Casella of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, Professors Sue Richardson, Peter McDonald, Steve Dowrick, Graeme Hugo and Ross Garnaut along with Chris Richardson of Access Economics.
Mr Ruddock will also announce the 2002-03 migration and humanitarian programs.
