Department takes services to the central and far west

Representatives of the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) are visiting communities in the Central and Far West of New South Wales this week (20 to 24 March) as part of a strategy and ongoing commitment to provide immigration services in regional and rural communities.
Departmental representatives will meet with individual clients in Lithgow, Mudgee Dubbo, Lightning Ridge, Wellington, Orange and Bathurst.
Meetings will also take place with Members of Parliament and their staff in the region to discuss local issues and Departmental services.
The regional and rural service strategy aims to take a range of DIMA services, including information dissemination and client interviews, to regions throughout New South Wales on a regular, ongoing basis.
