Dear Sir/Madam,
Contrary to the NT News' misguided assertions, (Fish pirates may get jobs on our boats, 23/08/06) Australia has no intention of granting work visas to illegal fishermen.
Anyone seeking an Australian visa must meet character requirements first, which would include consideration of any illegal activity conducted by that person.
