Harmony Day should be the focus
Letter to the Editor - The Advertiser
18 March 2004
Dear Sir/Madam
The trouble with being a pedant (Adelaide Confidential - Get a life… 18 March) is you look pretty silly when you make a similar mistake to the one you accuse someone else of having made - in this case you got the name of the department wrong.
But let's not be petty. Let's call it one-all and focus on something far more positive, like the fact that the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs is strongly committed to South Australia with over 250 people employed in its Adelaide office.
The department is also committed to community harmony and there are over 30 Harmony Day events and activities being held throughout the State on and around Harmony Day which is Sunday 21 March.
I encourage your readers to get involved.
