Incorrect information in article

On 16 February, Peta Hellard's article Doctor fights red tape was inaccurate and requires correction.

Contrary to the claims made in Hellard's article, Dr van der Schyff was never told by the Department that she must depart Australia, or given a deadline to do so.

The Department told Dr van der Schyff that she could lodge a Temporary Residence application, which she has done. Dr van der Schyff is lawfully in Australia and is not required to leave.
