Brisbane Immigration Transit Accommodation

Opened in 2007, the Brisbane Immigration Transit Accommodation (ITA) is located near Brisbane airport.

Accommodation and facilities

The site has three accommodation buildings with individual kitchenettes and lounge/entertainment area. Also included is a common use building for kitchen, meals area, induction/interview rooms, medical room, storage, as well as offices for departmental staff, and the Detention Services Provider. All buildings are modern, spacious, single level steel construction, designed for tropical climatic conditions with air conditioning to all areas.

The Brisbane ITA is a total 1 065m².
