What is VEVO
VEVO is a free online facility that allows organisations to check the visa entitlements of a visa holder.
The most common users of the system are employers and labour supply companies to confirm a visa holder's entitlement to work in Australia.
Other users include education providers to check the study entitlement of a visa holder. Certain other organisation have a need to check visa holder entitlements, to check whether a person is in Australia permanently or temporarily.
Visa holders can use VEVO to view details of their visa. To use the facility, you will either need a TRN or password. To have a password recorded, or if you have forgotten your TRN or password, please contact the department.

Employers and labour supply companies should register for the work entitlements category only. This category enables the registered organisation to check the work entitlements of a prospective employee.
Education institutions should register for the study entitlements category. This category enables educational institutions to check the study entitlements of students. Educational institutions should also register for the work entitlements category if they are an employer.
If your organisation has a need to use VEVO for a purpose outside of work and study rights, contact the Employer's Immigration Hotline and someone will assist you with your registration.
