Help for proposers - After the first few weeks, you should:

• Help the new arrival to find housing and sign up a lease.
• Help connect services like electricity and phone and water.
• Explain the public transport system and road safety.
• Take the new arrival to the Motor Vehicle Registry to get an Australian Drivers Licence (if necessary).
• Refer the new arrival to the Adult Migrant English Program.
• Help the new arrival and family members enrol in school, TAFE or university.
• Introduce your new arrival to support networks and community services in the Australian community.
• Enrol your entrant with the Job Network for employment services.
