Other English Programs, Work and Study
If you can’t learn English through the AMEP or you have finished lessons, there are other programs that may help you learn English, find a job or study.
I want to learn more English
You may be able to learn English through other Commonwealth or State programs.
- The Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (LLNP) provides up to 800 hours of language, literacy and numeracy training over two years to those having difficulties finding employment due to low literacy or English language competency.

- The Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) Program provides funding to employers for training their workers in English language, literacy and numeracy skills.

Leaving the AMEP
Tell your teacher or service provider if you are leaving the AMEP. If you don’t, you may lose some of your free hours for learning English.
Your teacher or service provider can tell you about other ways of learning English with the AMEP and how to come back to AMEP classes later.
If you have finished your free hours of English classes, your service provider will talk to you about learning more English, finding a job, or study.
