Funding Cycle for 2012–13
Settlement Grants Program (SGP) funding follows a cycle over the life of a grant as shown in the following table.

- Annual assessment of settlement arrivals information relevant to the SGP released

- Application Round open
- Organisations complete the security form available online before commencing application online

- Parliamentary secretary's announcement of successful applications after Commonwealth Budget is handed down
|

- Organisations are notified by mail of the assessment outcomes
- Successful organisations negotiate and sign Funding Agreements

- Reporting requirements for grant are required

| End of financial year and end of grant |
- Fourth Quarter/End of Year Report and audited Financial Statements submitted to the department
