Accountability
Funded organisations must be accountable in the operation of their business.
Service principles
Funded organisations are required to adopt the Settlement Grants Program (SGP) Service Principles, which are detailed in the SGP Policy Paper and the Funding Agreement. These principles are a guide for organisations in the development and delivery of SGP projects. Funded organisations must report on the Service Principles as part of their standard reporting requirements.

Insurance requirements
Funded organisations must take out and maintain the following insurance for the term of the grant:
- Public liability insurance (minimum $10 million cover)
- Worker's Compensation insurance
- Professional Indemnity insurance (or association's liability insurance)
Role of management committees
The management committee, and not the employee or project worker, is responsible for the delivery of the project and for making sure that all terms and conditions of the Funding Agreement are met. The management committee should ensure that it is aware of the progress of the project and that accountability and reporting requirements are met.
