Victoria contains more than a quarter of Australia's total population - approximately 5 million people. Multicultural Victoria is renowned for its food, temperate climate, festivals, fashion, arts and entertainment, sporting activities and major events. With its variable climate, Victoria is warm to hot in summer (December to February), mild in autumn (March to May), cold and damp in winter (June to August), and cool in spring (September to November). The annual average rainfall for Victoria is around 600mm.

Where will my child go to school?

You can send your child/children to public (state government) or private (also known as independent) schools. Most public schools are co-educational, with girls and boys encouraged to participate equally in class. Many private schools are either exclusively all boy or all girl schools.
