Regional locations that want to attract migrants
Are you looking for somewhere to live in regional Australia?
The quality of life enjoyed by residents of Australia is one of the best in the world. Australia's clean physical environment, health services, low cost of living, education and lifestyle combine to make it an attractive place to live.
Regional Australia covers a very large area. Not all areas and regions with opportunities for migrants can be highlighted in these pages. When choosing which areas to feature, business and migration websites for each State/Territory were looked at to see what areas they where promoting as regional migration areas. Certain areas that are considered regional for one visa but not for another were excluded so there would be no confusion for the reader. The largest centre in each region identified was used to highlight that region. Towns with a population of less than 21,000 where excluded. If you are unable to find a suitable region/town that meets your needs, further investigation into other areas of regional Australia would be beneficial.

The States and Territories feature a wide range of climatic zones, from the tropical northern regions, through to arid expanses of the interior and temperate regions in the south.
Individual state and territory governments have their own websites promoting regional migration. These sites also give information on skills needed and jobs available.
