The City of Wyndham is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Australia and it is becoming increasingly culturally diverse. To meet the needs of its residents, the council has worked with leaders in the community to produce a Cultural Diversity Policy Action Plan. The plan recognises that: Wyndham is a culturally diverse community; diversity considerations are a whole-of-organisation responsibility; and council services need to focus on access and inclusion.
It is expected that the council's inclusive and responsive approach will attract new business migrants to the region and improve local settlement outcomes to benefit the whole community.
