Trade Skills Training Visa and Bridging Visas

From 20 December 2005, the Migration Regulations 1994 will be amended to allow non-citizens who apply for a subclass 471 (Trade Skills Training) visa on Form 1261, to also make an application for a Bridging visa A or a Bridging visa C on the same Form 1261 and at the same time.

Technical details

Amendments have been made to subitems 1301(1) and 1303(1) of Schedule 1 to the Migration Regulations 1994 to include Form 1261 as an application form for a Bridging visa A and a Bridging visa C respectively.

Transitional arrangements: This amendment will apply to all applications for a Subclass 471 (Trade Skills Training) visa lodged on or after 20 December 2005.
