Additional information: regulation 3.10 sets out the type of information which may be provided to other countries if the Minister is satisfied that the provision of the information would facilitate the handling of aircraft or passengers travelling to destinations outside Australia.
This regulation change expands the list of information which may be provided under this regulation.
Prior to providing information under this regulation, Australia is required to have an appropriate Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in place with the country receiving the information.
The MOU will include specific protocols relating to the protection of personal information.
