Becoming eHealth Enabled
To be eligible for eHealth your clinic must meet the following minimum technical requirements.

| Operating system | Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP |
| CPU | Pentium III with 1.5 GHz or equivalent |
| RAM | 512 MB RAM, 1 GB recommended |
| Browser | Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 6.0 |
| Internet connection | Broadband – minimum 512Kbps upload and download |
| Scanner | Capable of reproducing good quality images of medical reports |
| Digital camera | 3.1 megapixels with flash, capable of capturing images at 640x480 pixel resolution with a final file size of less than 100KB |
| Radiologists only | Radiography equipment with computer or digital capability |

The department's future vision is for almost all visa applicant health examinations to be processed electronically (that is, using eHealth), so panel doctors who are already eligible are encouraged to come online as soon as possible.
