Where to Send Australian Visa Medical Results

It is a requirement of panel membership that your clinic send the medical results directly to an appropriate departmental processing office - either at the Health Operations Centre (HOC) or your local departmental office outside of Australia (Embassy/Consulate/High Commission).

Do not return the medical results to applicants, to their family members or to migration agents.

How to determine the correct destination of medical results

The table below outlines the steps involved in sending medical results to the correct destination.

Step Action
1

Check if the name of a departmental processing office outside Australia (Embassy/Consulate-General/High Commission) is on the Forms 26/160 or in a letter requesting the examinations.

If:

  • Yes, send the results to this address.
  • No, go to step 2.
2

Check if the visa class or visa name the applicant is applying for is listed in the list of visa classes below.

If:

  • Yes, send the medical results to the Health Operations Centre (HOC).
    See: Contact Us
Note: Panel clinics in China and India need to note that the HOC processes:
    • all subclass 570-580 student visas from the People's Republic of China
    • all subclass 570-580 student visas lodged electronically (eVisas) from India.
  • No, go to step 3.
3

Send the medical results to the local departmental processing office outside Australia (Embassy/Consulate-General/High Commission).

If you are unsure which local departmental office processes the medical results please contact the HOC.
See: Contact Us

4 If an applicant does not know the visa class they are applying for, send the medical results to the HOC.
