Training for AL2-4 Trial eVisa Agents - Sydney - 26 February 2010

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship would like to invite agents who have access or would like access to the AL2-4 trial to attend this training session.

On 20 August 2009, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship announced that the department is strengthening checks on student visa applications to stamp out fraud and ensure students have the financial capacity to live and study in Australia. One of the measures to strengthen integrity in the Student Visa Program is reviewing Student eVisa access and compliance.

What is changing?

The department will introduce a revised eVisa facility Access Agreement in the near future. All agents who want to join or retain access to the facility will be required to meet eVisa registration requirements and re-sign the access agreement.

This training is a prerequisite to obtaining access to the eVisa facility under the revised agreement.

Attendance at a training session on the AL2-4 trial will be compulsory for all agents who want to sign the new Agents Agreement for access to the AL2-4 trial.

When is the training?

The eVisa facility training will be held on 26 February 2010.

  • Session 1: 9 am to 12 pm
  • Session 2: 2 pm to 5 pm

What does the training cover?

These sessions will provide details of agents obligations when they are part of the trial, an overview of the changes which will be occur in the new Agents Agreement which will be finalised shortly as well as information about lodging offshore eVisa applications for China, India, Indonesia and Thailand.

How to register to attend the training

Numbers are limited to 80 per session; attendance will be on a first come first served basis.
