Emailing scanned attachments for GSM applications FAQs

The department has established a process for migration agents to send electronic copies of documents for all General Skilled Migration applications via email. Providing scanned copies of documents reduces postal and administrative delays in receiving and processing information. When scanning documents use either original or certified copies of the documents.

If you upload attachments via the e-visa system or e-mail scanned documents to one of the ASPC mailboxes do not send paper copies of these documents unless asked to do so.

E Lodged Applications

E-lodged applications can have electronic documents attached via the eVisa system.
See : eVisa - Attachment FAQs

The e-GSM checklists do not record the receipt of documents attached after lodgement until the case officer assesses the application.  This does not mean that you need to send paper copies, if the attachment process fails the system should indicate this at the time.

Paper Based Offshore Applications

Paper based offshore applications are divided on a geographic basis between two branches. Allocation is based on the applicant's primary country of residence in the five years prior to the application being made.

If the application has not been allocated please send scanned copies of all documents including police clearances to the appropriate e-mail address provided in the table below.
