The department is currently not accepting any onshore applications for access to the AL 2-4 eVisa Student Access trial, pending a review of access to the eVisa facility. Please monitor the Agents Gateway for further updates.
On 20 August 2009, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship announced that the department is strengthening checks on student visa applications to stamp out fraud and ensure students have the financial capacity to live and study in Australia.

Setting a calendar reminder to change your password every month will prevent you from being locked out of your eVisa account. Instructions on how to change your password are available.

After you login using the new password issued by the eVisa Help Desk, you will be prompted to change this password immediately.

We are now accepting applications for new accounts. However, there is currently a delay of up to three (3) months for account creation. Applications will be processed in order of receipt.
You can still lodge 457 and eGSM applications online while you are waiting for your new account details. An online facility is available for members of the public, including migration agents.
