Permanent entry visas
Permanent visa applications for Partner, Prospective Marriage, Child, Remaining Relative, Carer and Aged Dependent Relative for applicants usually resident in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Ascension Island, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar and Saint Helena are lodged, processed and decided in London.
General Skilled Migration applications are lodged at the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre.

Applications under the Special Migration stream – Distinguished Talent (subclass 124) and Former Resident (subclass 151), are lodged and processed at the Perth Office.

Refugee and Humanitarian visas
Clients from Europe whose application for a Refugee and Humanitarian (Class XB) visa is accompanied by a proposal form (form 681) must lodge their application at the department’s NSW Offshore Humanitarian Processing Centre. This applies to people who are lodging a visa for consideration under the Global Special Humanitarian Program (SHP) or as an immediate family member.

All other Refugee and Humanitarian applications should be directed to the closest immigration office outside Australia.
Temporary entry visas
Citizens of the United Kingdom and Ireland who are travelling to Australia for up to three (3) months for tourism or business purposes are eligible to apply online for an eVisitor.

Passport holders from the United Kingdom and Ireland who want to visit Australia for more than three (3) months are eligible to apply online for a Tourist visa (e676).

Paper temporary entry visa applications from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Ascension Island, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar and Saint Helena are lodged and processed in London.
416 Special Program applications are lodged and processed at the Hobart Special Program Processing Centre.

Passport holders from Ireland and the United Kingdom are eligible to apply for a Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417). Clients wishing to apply for a Working Holiday visa should apply online.

Sponsored Family Visitor visa (subclass 679) applications must be lodged in Australia by the sponsor. 679 Sponsored Family Visitor visas will be processed at one of the Sponsored Family Visitor processing centres.

If you are sponsored by an overseas business, you can lodge your visa application with the Australian Visa Office responsible for applications in your country.

We recommend all passports and valuable documents are sent by Special Delivery (clients outside of the UK should use registered post) to ensure a trackable and secure delivery. Clients in the UK should also enclose a pre-paid self-addressed Special Delivery envelope for the secure return of their documents.
